Are you looking for a restored Mk2 Jaguar?

Why not complete the rebuild of this project; and build your dream Mk2 Jaguar to your personal specification.

The Mk 2 Jaguar is one of the most desirable and beautiful 4-door sedans ever built and will continue to turn heads well into the future. This is a very practical car to own and restore given the huge inventory of new parts available - and at reasonable prices, ignore the gossip, these are not overly complicated to work on (apart from the body) and there is a wealth of information available covering the restoration, rebuild and maintenance of this model.

This is a matching numbers 3.4 full syncro MOD car, completely dismantled, the bodywork is now almost completed, all work done by an ex-Beachams craftsman, all rust areas cut out and replaced mostly by butt welding using Martin Robey panels. Bodywork undertaken includes new inner and outer sills, front wheel arches and splash panels, spring hangars, jacking points, park light housings, crows feet, grille closing panels, rear lower panel, slam panel, rear lower guards, lower door skins - inner and outer, the trunk lid and a front door are the main unfinished areas. Photos of this work are to the left, click in the  'Leaping Cat' picture above to return to this page.

The bodyshell should be regarded as being rust free and very sound, requiring the finishing of the rear window opening, boot lid and a front door to be complete.some filling prior to the comecement of the painting process is required, I can arrange for the body shell to be soda blasted and epoxy primered if required.

The body shell is currently in Corroless anti-rust primer on a stand that comes with the car; as seen in a lot of the pictures. Most sub-assemblies including suspension have been bead blasted, Corroless anti-rust primed and painted in industrial black enamel. Almost all fasteners have bead blasted and bright zinc plated.

A very comprehensive inventory of new parts will be supplied including wiring looms, disc rotors, suspension and steering bushes and joints, Rubber seals (windows, doors, lights seals etc), brake hoses, front and rear shock absorbers, clutch kits, park lights, body moldings, wheel bearings and brake pads; there is a very extensive list of new parts.

This vehicle has been carefully dismantled and stored, if required I would be happy to go through all the parts with the new owner and give assembly advice.

I have made a substantial investment in this car; however other projects need my attention. I am very realistic with my sale price expectation.

This represents a fantastic and rare opportunity for a true enthusiast to purchase an iconic classic car with some of the most expensive work already completed to the highest standard.
This vehicle is located in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.  Viewing is welcome,  international shipping can be arranged.

This car was first registered in England, the New Zealand registration is live and on-hold. I have a Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust production certificate for this car.

The asking price represents great value, considering the desirability of this model, the standard of work undertaken and the parts inventory to be supplied.
